Chocoholic’s Delight Tart

There’s nothing better than a good friend, except a good friend with chocolate.

One of my best girlfriends, who is definitely a chocolate addict,  gave me a small serving plate with that phrase on it.   It is perfect for truffles which will be another post. This one is about mascarpone cheese and chocolate….which is straight from heaven, especially when topped with balsamic glazed strawberries.   For such a decadent delight, it is a very simple recipe and only takes about 15 minutes.   Who would have thought ??

I made this for a recent dinner party and got lots of requests for the recipe, so here it is.  Be prepared to swoon on the first bite !!

Chocolate Mascarpone Tart                                                                                                            (adapted from Debbie Crave of Crave Brothers Farmstead Classics)

10 regular (or 8 large) digestive biscuits, in fine crumbs
1 tbsp cocoa powder

Mix & press into bottom of tart pan.  Freeze for 30 minutes

16 oz. Mascarpone Cheese
6 oz. bittersweet chocolate, melted
2 Tbsp. Chambord (black raspberry liquer)Mix mascarpone and melted chocolate together thoroughly, then stir in Chambord.
